In 1990 "Not one inch" Mikhail Gorbachev was promised if he tore down the Berlin Wall and gave up East Germany. He was assured that NATO will “not shift one inch eastward” and threaten Russian security. But the USA double-crossed Gorbachev after the Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991. NATO & Washington realized it could go all the way. Their new approach: Not one inch of territory need be off limits to NATO…

So, while the USSR/Russia was in chaos breaking up - Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Albania, Croatia, Montenegro and North Macedonia all became members of NATO, which means they all have US Military bases inside their borders, with US missile systems pointed at Russia and any additional weapons they want, are bought from the USA. A threat to Russian security. Give NATO & the US an inch and they’ll take a mile…

2014 Maidan Coup - Yanukovych was ousted from power following the 2014 Euromaidan clashes which were initiated and backed by the USA. Viktor Yanukovych was considered to be too close to Russia, so the US-backed coup installed a pro-NATO/US/Western leader Viktor Yushchenko (similar confusing names) chosen by Victoria Nuland.

The Crimea and the Donbass objected to the US-backed coup and wanted self-governance and to remain in the Russian sphere of influence.

The Ukraine swore to the Minsk agreements, but under the influence of the US, Kiev double-crossed Crimea and the Donbass about self-determination and proceeded to bomb and attack the Donbass regions for 8 years. Then the US started inciting the Ukraine to join NATO, including the Donbass. Membership of NATO means US Military bases inside their borders, with US missile systems pointed at Russia. A threat to Russian security right on their doorstep.

Enough is enough. NATO & the US ignored Russian complaints. Russia had no choice but to make a stand and say ‘no more’ - cause and effect, provocation? There’s two sides to every story - 30 years in the making…

Journalists should ask Mikhail Gorbachev what he thinks of the Ukraine-Russia Conflict after all this time…

Stopped reading at the bolded , US backed and sponsored coup but Russia did not sponsor break away of donbass and annexation of crimea according to you.

While depicting scenarios it's important to put forward all necessary informations even if it doesn't suit your ideals and narrative.

This is a very skewed information.
