The pregnant woman killed alongside her four children have been buried in Anambra State.

Militants of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) gunned them down at Isulo, Orumba North Local Government Area of the state, on Sunday.

I’m now left with nobody – Husband of woman killed with 4 kids by IPOB

Sarki Kabiru Bakari, leader of the Hausa Community in Orunba South of Anambra, told Daily Trust in an interview that the corpses of the victims were recovered on Tuesday evening.

He, however, said the plan to take them to their hometown in Adamawa for burial was cancelled because the corpses were not taken care of in the mortuary, and could not withstand the travel to the North.

“We have now decided to bury them in Awka Wednesday (today). The mortuary attendant did not treat the corpses, no preservation measure was done; hence we cannot travel with the corpses as they have already started decomposing. We have no other option than to take them to Awka and bury them there,” he said.

Bakari added that the security personnel had been deployed in the area and that the Anambra State police commissioner has visited them and assured them of swinging into action.

“But after we bury the victims, we will all relocate to our hometown in the North; we are no longer safe here. The husband of the woman will also relocate back to Adamawa as soon as he has buried his family; he is working here as a security guard,” he said.

The killings marked a new low in the heightened attacks on non-indigenes by IPOB terrorists who are also attacking the symbol of authority including the police and the military.

Natives of Anambra State and the South East, in general, have not also been spared by the IPOB terrorists who have been wreaking havoc for a long time amid agitation for secession.

The killing of the northerners was perpetrated by the outlawed group a few days after the discovery of the head of an Anambra State lawmaker who was abducted by the terrorists.

The killers should be fished out and prosecuted accordingly. We don't want a reprisal where more innocent people will be killed for a crime they know nothing about.

From Allah we come, to him we shall return.

MAY THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH GRANT THEM THE HIGHEST JANNA

Forget the idiots who want to use the unfortunate deaths of these people for propaganda

Not even the Anambra State Police command knows who killed this family but one useless Northern news outlet is blaming IPOB with no proof whatsoever

We Anambrarians would like to know who was heartless enough to kill children

Shut up there. Hausa-Fulani ethnic group doesn't have a monopoly of violence. This time around, we will make SouthEast inhabitable for them for destroying Igbo businesses in Sokoto and Bauchi. Nonsense
