Governor Obaseki surprised me with the 40k minimum wage increase, I received my salary alert on 26th with increment on my salary.... sincerely he is one of the best thing that ever happened to Edo state, he doesn't play with civil servants and their salary, down to early payment and promotion of staffs who are due for promotion

A liter of kerosene for instance is now N700 and Nigerian workers in other states are still beign paid 30k as in when a liter of kerosene was sold N160.
Formerly under 30k minimum wage, a plate of food (mama put) was N200. Now it is N500, and other Nigerian governors are still paying 30k.

I've been hearing of his wonderful plans since the beginning of his tenure, however none of it seems to come to pass. Throughout the dry season our roads were unattended to. Now that the rain is here you see contractors everywhere constructing roads in the rainy season. I stay in Benin. The roads are a write off just as the governor and this administration is a total write-off

For example if the salary is paid on 24th, the next salary will come 30 days after , same thing if salary is paid on 30th, the next salary will come 30 days after ..

You are very free to say any nonsense online. If he is paying the money, I would be aware as I'm not residing in the moon. I stay here in Benin. That was was how he made so many promises when campaigning. I remember those Ogbe stadium workers standing on his defence on several occasion. Their reason was that he pays salary on time. Only for him to return for second term and fire the entire workers. I couldn't help laughing at their foolishness. They were lucky the government backed down from that decision.

First time in the state people are getting employment based on competence and merits in most ministries with lesser connections unlike before?

Like in the ministry where my wife works in the health sector there have been continuous replacement of staff who have mostly been JAPA-ing to the UK for greener pasture.

I remember in January when I was at ound, my mom complain of a tooth problem.
So we were refered to the new specialist hospital.
When we attended our appointment, I couldn't believe where I was.
Not at the infrastructure or the facilities ( this one was top notch)but I have never seen a govt hospital function so professionally like I was in the UK.
Staffs were so neatly dressed and mannered. It was everything I didn't expect.
The nurses, the process, the machineries... Everything was accordingly and in time.
30 mins we were out of the place.

The man is doing his bit and he is not the type of governor that does projects commissioning before use. Like the area where I lived in Benin city, there are tons of projects. Tons of roads newly constructed and also rehabilitated ( I know this is how your likes rate a working governor, coming on air to do a paparazzi show off). Even at that he is building roads but I keep wondering why I have not seen him commission these projects before use.

He just build projects, once completed, the next day people start using it. Nothing like the usual ribbon scissors cutting camera show off. Many hate him because he does not spend on frivolity.

Take for instance the recent bus terminal newly constructed, I went there and saw it’s now being used and I was like, why does this man not even commission projects before use?

I can point to a lot of visible projects, policy formations, workers warfare, workforce training and retraining and tons of good governance oriented projects this man has done and doing that I never saw him do a paparazzi show off on.

He is a kind of build and use governor. Because he doesn’t do all those usual fanfair paparazzi projects commissioning thingy does not mean he is not working inspite of the recent paucity of funds some other governors keep complaining about.

I was reading through this same 40k minimum wage and prompt salaries for pensioners and civil servants payment confirmation on his official twitter few days ago and guy commented that he was lying that salaries are not being paid as at when due.

I checked this twitter profile GBAM! He was a pro Tinubu judging by the type of contents on his walls. I was like this someone not residing in Edo saying all these.

It dawned on me that many just hate him because of the way he stood his ground and fought to a standstill the Tinubu and Oshiomole gang up against him because of that people always want to always paint the picture of Edo made a mistake electing and those fake news stories.

Obaseki is not the type of those agbero governor. He is sound, working and doing his bit.

Yes there other areas he needs to do better but he is working and lets commend him in this areas where we can see and feel his works while we also criticize him in areas where he is failing and needs to do better.
