Some 10yrs ago I and some of my friends were arrested/kidnapped from our streets in Lagos by police for no reason except that we were on our street like every other persons would in front of our gates gisting. They took us and some other bystanders on the road to their stations and were beating us because we asked what we did. They naked us, collected our phones and made us write statements. We were treated like criminals, until our police officers family friends came and they said they can only release only one person free and the rest will be paid for to bail us saying that those police family friends are spoiling their work. We were let free by 2am. We did not do anything wrong. For all I know that guy could be innocent until proven guilty.
