Okada saves! Lagos traffic is probably the heaviest among all the major cities in the world.

The government should be more focused on fixing that before banning Okada!

Okada is a time bomb. In Abuja you see lawless, drugged up urchins with unregistered bikes and no known addresses breaking every conceivable traffic regulation, and when they are at fault for any small thing, they respond with group violence. Also I might add, predominantly from one part of the country.

Good ridane

By the way by next week they are going to flood Abuja and it's environ.
Abuja is not safe, the insecurity will increase when the okada men in Lagos come over to Abuja to continue their business since it has been banned in Lagos.

If you are in Kubwa (especially pipeline), Mpape, Nyanya, Ado, New Nyanya, Masaka, Mararaba, Jigwoyi, Karimo etc please blaze up. We have not finish dealing with the menace of the okadas and iron condemn people and now their brothers are coming over from Lagos to join them.

My dear, they will soon be phased out even in Abuja. It has gotten so bad. You forgot airport road (as a whole), Gwagwalada and its suburbs etc, where okadas are being used to supply ritual killers with the body parts of school children.

That's the stupidity with most of us Nigerians, yes they've put them off but is there an alternative available and put into place before this action!?, no wonder crime increases everyday in this shithole of a country, Rubbish!!!

Did you read the part where it was stated that more ferries, more taxis and more buses have Ben deployed to the roads?

This Sanwolu can lie, well banned okada in high ways are welcome development but there must be an alternative as claimed aboved. However such is to be provided across the board which is not in Apapa side at all. Truck still block the roads. What are your efforts to get the truck out of the roads for commercial and private cars to ply. Having been nursing this ambition for almost 1month now what stop you not to get rid of them? I'm highly disappointed on how citizens were made to be trecking from mile ii to Apapa yesterday.

Lagos streets needs bike lane for God sake, we need to start riding bikes ,with bike there's no gas to pollute environment and its form of exercise for people, but they refuse to fix alternatives routes for people, some people just going to 1 to 5 miles can rides bike easily. Common sense is not common in Nigeria polithieftians.

Displaced Okada riders from Niger, Mali, Chad, Burkina Faso and Northern Nigeria. Don't people ride Okada in the North. At least you people say that there a more people in the North. So let them go back home to do their business. Kapische?

Okada kills. Is there any metropolis in the world that has okada as a major mean of transportation.

You need to try leaving Nigeria

Try Asian countries and understand why bikes are their major source of transportation, we have the issues of agberos that cause nuisance during the Day and at night (pick pockets and one chance), traffic grid lock hasn’t been fixed, bad roads too.

Imagine if all these are fixed, who would board a bike or Okada? Infact many would get theirs for personal use as not everyone can afford cars, remember bad roads that cause traffic also affect cars.

Name the metropolis in Asia with Bike as a mean of transportation? Or you should show us pictures with labels.
No serious nation prioritises bike transportation especially in the cities. In rural areas, bike is ok.

You are the one that need to wise up. The damage and security threat posed by these riders outweigh the benefits. Its not a must everybody stay im Lagos. If you know whatsup u will be aware that close to 60% of these riders are not even nigerians. They just bump in from nowhere. Moreso if you've been following trends, govt has put many alternatives on place

Let them even restrict the courrier Okada to service lanes and ban them from taking the 3rd mainland bridge ..

I have a feeling there is something about Okada riding that makes the riders feel they own the road

An Okada rider spotted.
Try and travel and see how things are done in a sane manner.

started travelling b4 u were born bt I'm also real and deal with real situations. Lagos isn't UK or China it is a stupid place overpopulated are ruined by stupid greedy people who take 16 Years to build rail and road networks then ban okada without alternatives to cushion the effects.

Useless thinking greedy people.

But I'm still seeing okadas along Owode bus stop plying the express heading to ikorodu garage.

Who are the people overpopulating Lagos?
Tell them to stay back in their states.
Moreover, other state governors banned okada in their states and we didn't hear you people complain.
Is Sanwolu anybody's father to make sure migrants are all employed?

Good for you. You may have been a partial Okada rider, The reason yours is among the confiscated ones. You probably do commercial ride on your way to and from the conventional office. You may lie about it all you like.

The people using the okada are lagosians both indigenes and legal residents they are not migrants from anywhere. same with many of those driving the okada they are Nigerians. I have no problem banning okada if u have created alternatives for a busy lagos population.

Lagos is not ekiti where u can see cabs or buses sitting idle waiting for customers.

The bikes are there cos they create a useful alternative bt now we feel the vacuum snd suffering for many. Even if u drive u will feel the traffic so nobody is left out really with out poor road networks, disorganised construction jobs and poor alternative means of transportation.
