Nissan Almera Tino(2005) Acceleration Issue by xpensivealex(m): 6:25am On Jun 04, 2022
Greetings to all experts in the house, kindly help me on what could be wrong with my Nissan almera Tino 2005 model (Manual Transmission) , the car acceleration is very poor when climbing hill. Sometimes I will have to floor the whole throttle yet it doesnt give a corresponding speed return.my rewire said it is fuel pump which I changed yet this issue doesn't stop. Pls who has experience this and what is the way out to this poor acceleration

Scanning your car is your best bet.

That said, check your throttle mouth, it may be dirty, you can get that cleaned with carburator cleaner.

If the poor acceleration is also combined with black smoke, you may need to check your MAF (air flow sensor).

I have enjoyed Nissans tremendously.

If the poor acceleration is accompanied by a popping sound and or black smoke, you would need to check your MAF sensor, look out for big unmetered vacuum leaks, and injector mouth.
Scan the car for fault codes though.

Though I just service my injector so as not to leave any stone untouched, also the air filter was cleaned with injector cleaner.Black smoke always pop only if I rev the engine very high. Though it will stop immediately I unpress the throttle. I will tell my technician to scan the car to check if the air flow sensor is the culprit. Tnks alot sir for ur contribution

Good. But you have not addressed my number 1 suspicion, which is cleaning out the black soot that might have built up in your throttle body. Please check that first.

Check ur catalyst.
It might be blocked.
I had same issue with my car. After changing every every like fuel pump' filter, servicing my nozzle. It still didn't work. It was one gear specialist that noticed that my catalyst was blocked.we removed it and every thing returned to normal.

There's one switch that look like the reverse switch on the gear. (mine is manual though) . Remove the entirely switch and use nut to block where you remove the switch. Don't disconnect the switch and Hang the switch somewhere in the engine. It should move. That's my experience with my tino some years back.
