It's not a factional thing.... Ekpoudom won on 27 May, but refused to step down for Akpabio.

In Umahi's case, he ensured his brother won and hence he stepped down for him. Tambuwal also allowed his man to be sole candidate and he went there to pick up the Senatorial.

Bala Mohammed gave his SSG, Kassim who also stepped down. Now Ekpoudom refused to step down ,so APC cancelled the initial primaries and INEC wasn't even put on notice. So, it's different.


He refused to step down and have refused substitution as well.

So GOA should release more Niger-Delta money for him. APC too don't have a Senatorial Candidate in Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District, based on INEC report.

Ita enang has even opened a court case against Akpabio's purported gov. candidate. He was thinking Akpabio would support him for governorship but Akpabio ended up supporting a pdp governorship aspirant that left pdp a week before apc guber primaries.
