Wike offended many Igbos, who saw him as one of them, when he denied being Igbo. He made it far worse when he invited the military into Obigbo over ENDSARS violence, which he blamed on IPOB. Obigbo is an Igbo area that had been carved out of Imo State in 1976 and added to Rivers state

Had it been the primaries was conducted 2yrs ago, Wike would have been the sole Igbo candidate.

His influence was even extending towards Edo State, but baba blew things off with Obigbo events. That event lead to women been sent to military camps in the north. He even went on Dele Momodu's interview to deny that he is not Igbo and even went as far as demolition of Ikoku spare parts market. (popularly dominated by Igbo business).

His biggest own goal was perhaps attacking Peter Obi in Anambra. How can you attack a popular Igbo son in his home turf and even told the people of Abia that the only way Igbo can get to power is through him.

Today Wike have not only destroyed himself politically but also that of Ikwere people politically in Rivers. Imagine when the igbo man pitches tent with Ijaw or Ogoni in Rivers State, what do you think will happen.

He can only get igbo ( weed) not Igbo's votes, as Obedient as we are we pray our labor will never be in vain.

Wike not only made enemies with the igbos but also Ogonis and most recently Ijaws.He allowed temporary control of Rivers state coffers to get into his head.

He denigrated Rivers traditional rulers and even fellow Governors.He was said to be one of the reasons Peter Obi left the PDP.

He would realize how politically relevant he is when he leaves office next year.I don't even see the PDP winning the state governorship election next year

If you like make being Igbo a condition to be the president both Wike and Amaechi will reject it. Ikwerre is an ethnic group of its own. Igbos who stay in Port Harcourt know this. This is not an issue of Wike. The dirtiest dent you can smear an Ikwerre man with is to rub him with anything Igbo.
