Vaughanlanrewaj:
If this is the investment PO is showing off as achievement then Anambra state must have had its investment depreciated so much significantly that you need to query the process leading to that 'investment'.

Within same period that he approved this 'investment' and today, International Breweries share price had tanked from over N60 per share to around N5.65 today ( a whopping 1000% decrease in value! shocked) yet International Breweries has not paid dividends or issued bonus shares!
As a matter of fact, last year, IB just rolled over its $250 milliion loan from its major investor which it must pay even with the liability of forex risk according to loan terms.

Curiously, about same time, some states like Lagos, Osun invested or/raised their number of shares in Airtel, MTN, WAPCO and Julius Berger. Today, those states have reaped massively in dividends, bonus and capital appreciation while Anambra has its own investment in a company with links to HE Peter Obi's family has tanked so horribly that it is now penny stocks. The decision to 'invest' Anambra money into IB requires investigation by EFCC.

It is so so sad and unfortunate that PO was a mediocre governor for 8 years and seems like he wants to get away with it. He should never be voted for. He was to an extent a related party to IB. It was immoral and illegal that he as the Gov of Anambra signed the public funds into IB. The manner he threw Anambra money into IB because of his family business link to IB and despite the avalanche of better investments, is preposterous!

Those individuals and state governments who bought the shares of NGX listed companies like Airtel Africa alone had seen their share price jump from around N200 to N1600 and earned dividends in US dollars.

Do not vote for Peter Obi on this account and the fact that he can not even win.

This is the same thing I was telling one Obidient last night. The number of years an Investment has used in a business does not determine how It depreciates or Appreciates. It all depends on the Market forces.
