1.Grow up.

2.By the time most of the workers would have joined the civil service, it would have been the 1990's. Computers were not that avaialable in Nigeria, and when avaialable, were VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. Maybe some offices might be lucky to use a computer, but most did not.

3.Even now, most civil service work is still on paper. If you are in an administrative position, you don't need to use a computer...you give instructions to those who know how to use it.

Before we laugh at them, let's consider a few things.

1.Average age of them directors is 55-65.

2.Most of them, when they were young...like in the 1980's and 90's were very very unlikely to have seen or used a computer...desktop or otherwise.

3.Computers were not that common in Nigeria....until the last 10-15 years. Think about it.....even as late as 2003, MOST Nigerian students did not have a laptop or PC, or even a desktop. Most would have found it diffiicult to access a desktop.

4.By the time computers became ubiquitous, many of these people were already in their forties. You really don't need to use a computer in Nigeria...especially since most civil service work is still paperwork.

So before any 25 or 20 year old nairalander comes and mocks 'these old men' consider the above points. Even today, most young Nigerians still don't have access to a PC, laptop, tablet, or whatever.

But I recently heard that APC is trying to force INEC to accept godswill akpabio as it's senatorial candidate in akwa ibom state when there was no primaries conducted.

I also heard that APC has submitted the name of Ahmed Lawan as it's senatorial candidate to INEC even though he didn't participate in the primary election which produced another winner.

I am also aware that Tinubu imposed his daughter as iya Loja of Lagos and that no one contests the senatorial seat with his wife in the APC .

If all this isn't "strictly favouritism and nepotism", what else is?

Not only in politics. Some lecturers and professors cant operate projectors for learning purpose and they r f*ckin too proud to stoop low to a 100 level student to put them through.


As if no b same naija wey graduate dey go learn handwork from person wey no finish primary/secondary school.

The Nigerian civil service and most ministries are cashing out zones for lackadaisical, unqualified, and unproductive personalities. And it will still be like that till we are all OBIDIENT to..... you know nah!

Has nothing to do with quota system, and even as a director, you have to be reasonably educated before they even consider you for quota.

The fact is, most of these directors, when they were your age, whatever part of the country they came from, never had to use a computer. For most of their working life, they never had to use a computer. Most of the civil service still runs on paper. And if they need something to be done by computer, they can give orders, and it is done.

Nothing for quota system.

Using computer does not mean intelligence.
