wasi9ice: If Soludo does not come up immediately to deny this, I am afraid he has lost it all with the people of Anambra state. Soludo might be jealous that Obi didn't join APGA to pursue his ambition, but he knows that rest of Nigeria sees APGA as Ojukwu and secessionists party. 1 Like |

press9jatv: According to your link, Soludo didn't say what you claim in the title. He was talking about the recent APGA defectors to the Labour Party in his state. Didn't @Seun recently complain about some newspaper using a misleading headline about Tinubu recently? Is this not the same thing? Why has this been brought to the front page? @Mynd44 |

Real politicians know that you can't win an election on WhatsApp. You need to have people in every ward in Nigeria to win elections. Those making noise online will only vote in the urban areas, who will coordinate their activities in the villages? |

daddytime: It's not just sensationalist, it's completely wrong. Soludo was talking about APGA defectors to the Labour Party in his state, not Peter Obi. He said that them leaving after already having done so much work in the party is basically "labouring in vain". It had nothing to do with what was in the title. 1 Like |

Well, I'm not expecting everyone to believe in the Obi's movement, but those looking down on this mobilization by the youths are doing so to their own deterrent. I met many Obi's supporters who are willing to use their own funds to support his campaign including me. 2 Likes |

I smell fear. It's like the press conference before a wrestling bout. The scared opponent tends to start a fight even before the main fight. Obi is not running. The poor youths and masses are running through him. Know this and know peace |

From the write-up, HE Prof Soludo is talking about state related elections: senatorial, houses, etc, but not presidential election. He can't even try fighting Obi's presidential ambition. The truth is that any politician, especially in the South-East, irrespective of the person's party affiliation, fighting Obi's presidential ambition is taking a big risk. On a normal, in Anambra, PDP represent the state at the national level. However, at the state level, it's APGA all the way. Soludo may want to extend/expand APGA dominance to include National Assembly seats, but not presidency. PDP is no longer an option in Anambra in presidential election as usual since the emergence of Peter Obi in Labour Party. Meanwhile, the heading of this article is misleading. Prof was referring to Victor Umeh's defection and senatorial ambition, not Peter Obi and Labour Party's presidential election. I come in peace. |
