I don't think it was made compulsory in the NYSC act of 1973 for foreign educated Nigerians. https://www.nysc.gov.ng/aboutscheme.html Tinubu finished his university in 1979 Until 16th June, 1993, when initial NYSC Decree No. 24 which was repealed and replaced. NYSC certificate isn't even compulsory in holding political office. The problem with Adeosun was about fudged certificate on her behalf. datola:1973 and by decree, it was made compulsory Decree NO 24 Establishes the National Youth Service Corps in which Nigerian youths under the age of 30 shall be obliged to serve. The Corps shall engage in, inter alia, farming, road construction, hospitals, teaching, and private enterprise. |
