The reason many talented young people suffer is because they are not ready to undergo the training and personal development to convert the talent into what will feed them all their lives.

There is a difference between being gifted and developing the gift. Your gift will be useless without acquiring the skills needed to convert it from raw to expertise. Be wise!

Five things to note about what people want:

1. To be valued and considered important;
2. To be heard and have an environment that promotes positive interaction;
3. To be appreciated - words kill as well as give life;
4. To be encouraged with word like, you can do better;
5. To experience empathy - people will not care how much you know until they know how much you care.
