When Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos State, he conceived the innovation to improve the vision of the visually impaired and initiated the Jigi Bola’s healthcare initiative in 2001, in which enormous resources were channelled to the programme. Beneficiaries were not determined by partisan considerations.
