This is the African Lung fish. It's called Mai mama in Hausa language, it usually stays in muddy water. It has cartilages instead of bones.

Its Lung fish but in Warri we know it as Breast fish

In Bayelsa its called Ebiseni whole some call it breast fish because of the long projections from the body. It has only one bone and it can bite even after you have killed it. You have to pour hot water and salt on it after cutting off the head. It's poisonous when it bites. But e dey sweet wella. The fish eats itself during dry season
