Atiku is part of the problem we are having today in the power sector. He and Obasanjo wreck the power sector.
I love that epic response from Sowore.

Wrecked the power sector in what way?? Don't say things you don't know just because you feel like saying something.

The only privatization that worked in Nigeria is that of Telecoms, PHCN failed and NNPC will fail too.

Telecoms worked because the right people were involved, there were no cronies.

The last two failed because the assets were sold to cronies.

He does not live in NIgeria, he does not know the effect. I am sure he does not know what is happening in the society except what he sees in the media and what he is told. God forbid another kind of Buhari government that do not know what happens in the society

Re: Atiku Abubakar Reacts To National Grid Collapse, Sowore replies by Nobody: 8:59am On Jul 21, 2022
Grid is collapsing because we don't have enough money to fix and upgrade it

And the simple reason why is because the power sector is not allowed and has never been allowed to set its prices by the government...so it cannot earn enough money to pay for improvements..and has been like that for several decades.

Atiku Abubakar, PDP-led government was generating 4000MW of electricity in 2015 when you destroyed PDP after taking nearly all the northern PDP members to APC.

Were you sleeping then that you didn't see that APC was a party of Islamists who have no interest in modernity.
Re: Atiku Abubakar Reacts To National Grid Collapse, Sowore replies by Dvdpity: 9:24am On Jul 21, 2022
Atiku is the highest importer of generator, and you expect him to give Nigerians steady power supply? Well Nigerians are wisers now. Kick Atiku and tinubu out. Nigerian needs Obi and Ahmed. Nigerian currency is heading to 1000 naira per dollar.

Apt.

Usurper, Atiku, who has no interest in peace and economic development in his country.
He bought PDP ticket feigning ignorance of the fact that it's gonna be chaos if a Fulani Muslim, Atiku, succeeds another Fulani Muslim, Buhari, as president of contemporary Nigeria.

Nigeria is a multi ethnic and multireligious society which necessitated Federal Character Principle to be embedded in the Constitution.

Atiku also packaged APC in 2015 which enabled Buhari emerge president of Nigeria.

In 2015, Nigeria's generation was 4000MW. Today, it's 40MW. Atiku and Tinubu packaged FAILURE for Nigeria.

As far as I'm concerned all this talk of being sold to cronies and incompetent people is mostly beer parlour gist. Any proper student of economics and business will know that there is a lot of difference between the telecoms sector and power sector.

Telecoms companies were given free hand to set their prices, electricity companies were not.

Telecom tarrifs have always been cost reflective, electricity tarrif have not been.

By the nature of telecoms (a virtual product), you cannot steal it or avoid paying for it. Electricity is often consumed without paying or outright stolen.

The marginal cost of providing telecoms service to extra 10,000 people once the infrastructure was rolled out is pretty much zero. To supply electricity to new 10,000 people will always require new infrastructure (poles, wires, transformers, more generation etc). Hence why the tariffs needs to be cost reflective.

Telecoms are not burdened by any middle man. Mtn sells directly to customers. Electricity is burdened by Too many players. GENCO, DISCO, TCN, NBET, GAS COMPANIES, etc and can only be as strong as its weakest link.

Besides NNPC has not been sold, so what are you talking about? Hence my beer parlour gist!! Too many people are uninformed in Nigeria about how things really work, yet we all feel we are well educated. Hence why so many people cannot be employed by multinational companies.
