Job Title: Accountant/Credit Control.

Location: Abuja.

Job Description:
• Maintain accurate records of all daily transactions (accounts payable and accounts receivable).
• Accurately update the internal system with financial data.
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
• Review, design and implement financial policies.
• Track bank deposits and payments.
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with the sales and marketing team, the Accounts department, and the management.
• Develop & implement policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time.
• Monitor client credit reports, approve or deny applications and communicate decisions to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Negotiate payment plans with clients and set loan terms and conditions accordingly.
• Maintain loan records, conduct regular analysis of the credit-control system and implement changes as needed to reduce bad debts.
• Report any payment issues to management or the appropriate team.
• Follow up on overdue invoices and payments and implement company collections procedures as necessary.
• Look for ways to improve debt collection processes.


Job Requirements:
• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in a fast-paced organization.
• Great organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mathematical and deductive reasoning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel).
• Proficiency in the use of accounting tools like Quickbooks.
• Integrity and honesty.
• The ability to drive is an added advantage.
• Must be resident in Abuja.
