A lot of intending voters for the 2023 Nigerian general elections are yet to register. Some recently turned 18, some migrated to a new location far from their former neighbourhoods and need transfers while others lost or misplaced their voters' cards and need replacement. The electoral body needs to be commended for extending the initial deadline to July 31st. However, due to the small number of registration points and the surge in the number of willing voters, a lot of prospective voters are yet to be attended to. To ensure that a lot of the electorate are not disenfranchised, INEC needs to further extend the registration deadline by at least one month month to possibly August 31st, 2023. The electoral empire also needs to increase the number of places where people can register as well as the equipment available so as to make registration less cumbersome. Thank you.
