Government should make it Legal.... Period.
I am still wondering why government is fighting these local refiners if crude oil,if they can't build a refinery can't they partner, train, legalize, monitor and tax these people to increase their output instead of fighting them, these are SMEs for goodness sake.

GodisFirst:
This people are helping to refine the oil and supply it into the country for consumption. Their process is cheaper.
Will the soldiers go and also discover where the Bandits that wants to catch Buhari and El Rufai by hand are staying in Kaduna, Abuja and its environs.
They will leave their main responsibility and be getting involved in less important issues
Wetin concern army and oil bunkering? Leave this oil bunkering palaver to DPR joor. The country is now at the mercy of bandits and criminals, and our security apparatus are busy trying to discover petroleum in new locations? Them use petroleum swear for northerners?

Why can't the federal government give them license to operate this oil refinery bussiness the legal and right way since they have the knowledge and experience to operate it and ...it will create.jobs for the youths.. direct and indirect jobs...since the federal government cannot even build or repair their own other existing refineries and make it to work

Can you just imagine some group not up to 20 refining usable petroleum products but a whole country can't .... Meanwhile why is the army always fast like SWAT AND FBI to locate places in the south south and southeast? While all the attrocities goin on up north is never known.
Make una continue..... God will judge...

As for me see what l discovered personally

Since these men know how to refine crudes, the government should legalize it and support them. We can't be exporting crudes and importing refines till date. Nigerian youths are not lazy. It is the blessing God gave us.

oga relax,so illegal bunkery is the major cause of economy sabotage?
Illegal bunkery isn't contributing any sabotage to our present day economy sabotage.
Your elite's the ones responsible.
Know this and no peace.

What are they still doing in the south, shouldn't they be fighting terrorism and bandits? Human lives mean nothing to this people it's all about the money.

I expect them to send these guys for special training. So they could come back and operate our refineries. But nah... Because they prefer getting contracts for exporting the crude and importing the products at the expence of the masses. What a shame shocked shocked shocked

May God not turn our blessings to curses. The government, both past and present are daily stealing our crude and selling them to foreigners. Yet, they are here pretending to be saints. These guys that the Government called bunkers are more patriotic to Nigeria than our leaders. They are very specialized. What do we expect, when there are no legal refineries to channel all their expertise and work legitimately for living. Meanwhile, there are abundant resources all around their natives fathers lands. FG is criminal. The government should be ready, because my own small 33,000 litres daily capacity "illegal refinery" will soon start production. watch out!
