Dear brethren, the book of 1 Thess. 4: 17 urges Christians to pray without ceasing. My prayer right now is that God will bring peace to our land in Jesus name.

Jesus Christ also taught you to say your prayers in secret where no other human being can see or hear you. undecided
5 “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites. They love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray loudly. They want people to see them. The truth is, that’s all the reward they will get.
6 But when you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father. He is there in that private place. He can see what is done in private, and he will reward you.
7 “And when you pray, don’t be like the people who don’t know God. They say the same things again and again. They think that if they say it enough, their god will hear them.
8 Don’t be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 So this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, we pray that your name will always be kept holy.
10 We pray that your kingdom will come— that what you want will be done here on earth, the same as in heaven.
11 Give us the food we need for today.
12 Forgive our sins, just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.
13 Don’t let us be tempted, but save us from the Evil One.’
14 Yes, if you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, then your Father in heaven will also forgive your wrongs.
15 But if you don’t forgive others, then your Father in heaven will not forgive the wrongs you do. - Matthew 6 vs 5 - 15
Does God now answer the prayers of the very hypocrites that He vowed over 2000 that He never will? undecided

I believe what you quoted affects personal prayer. When it comes to prayer for the nation, there is nothing wrong with making it public.

Jesus Christ did not send anyone of His followers to do what you call prayers for the nation. I am not certain where you even get that idea from because it has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ, God's Truth in the Kingdom of God to begin with. undecided

Praying for nation is not unbiblical. 1 Timothy 2: 1-2 says: 'I urge then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.'

Again, Jesus Christ, the one who is God's New Covenant Law in the Kingdom of God, gave you about 100 commandments regarding which you are meant to live in continuous submission and obedience in the Kingdom of God - the Nation to which you are in fact called to. And of those about 100 commandments, none of them commands you to pray for any nation of this world, absolutely none. undecided

No man has permission or authority from God to any of that which God has decreed in His Law and agreement to individuals in His New Covenant - Matthew 26 vs 28 -30 - and so your assumptions of what Paul meant in his letter to Timothy changes absolutely nothing of that decreed by Jesus Christ to all of His followers. undecided

Those who believe in collective prayers can say Amen to this prayer: Peace will reign in our homes and nation in Jesus name. AMEN.

What peace? Whose peace because Jesus Christ never promised you that peace would reign even in your homes- Matthew 10 vs 34 - 38? undecided

Once again, those who perpetuate violence and killings in our land will pay dearly for it in Jesus name. Amen.

Are you speaking of the same Jesus Christ who demanded you not pray against your enemies in His name? undecided
