It's an open secret. CBN mediocrity and partisanship is a major factor responsible for what's happening to the naira.

Bro Fintech has nothing to do with this
Nigeria is rich
There's been more billionaires in dollars in the past 4yrs in Nigeria than ever
They're all politicians
No matter who wins this election I don't expect any visible change
The present is always worse than the past
It's been like that before we were Born

This is what you get when the CBN governor is a politician. Thank God the CBN governor is Igbo and I assume that he supposed to know the effect of too much money in circulation. That guy is one of the people that destroyed the economy to this level. To be sincere, Nigeria still has a long way to go in order to balance the equation. How can a professional person enmeshed himself in politics to the extent of destroying everything.

I made my argument before that CBN cannot fight inflation in Nigeria with raising interest rate. It may work for countries with real economies but not in a voodoo economy like Nigeria. Using textbook theories to fix fiscal and monetary policies in Nigeria is idiotic at best. It is entertaining watching Nigerians debate nonsense based on just theories they learned in classrooms. Those multiple degrees can only impress the ignoramuses who by the way, are not in short supply.

The problem we have is that we have an incompetent president
The incompetent president then appointed incompetent people...all because of politics.
