Francis Erhabor, the police officer who has never collected bribe is the Commander of Quick Intervention Unit (QIU) Akwa-Ibom Police Headquarters, Uyo. He was this morning decorated with a new rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) by the State Police Commissioner, CP O.A. Durosinmi, months after he reportedly attempted to resign over non-promotion.

Let me cut NPF some slacks abeg, some amongst them are indeed passionate and diligent about the job.

Can still remember some years ago when our car approached this long queue at a check point, I was miffed thinking it's their regular 'road block' just to extort motorists, but was stunned when we reached this officer controlling the check point as he dutifully did his work of checking the vehicle, the driver even offered to tip him some money for his job but to our surprise, he smiled and turned the offer that he is just doing his job kiss smiley

The IG of Police is desperately cooking, striving to ensure that the police is given a better image. It was punitive measures against erring policemen and now rewards for deserving ones, kudos to our men in Black.
