It seems like that is what he is using as his defence, because he is now retweeting tweets like this.

He has to use such tweets as his defense as the two campaigns have been based on appealing to religion and ethnic sentiments. Tambuwal stepped down for Atiku and betrayed Wike his southern friend out of ethnic consideration. That last minute stepping down was more than politics, it was a strong message to all northerners that they must keep power at all cost.

Peter Obi has also made extremist Christians and secessionist agitators the backbone of his campaign. The kind of message they have pushed out in the last one month or so is scary. The way Peter Obi is jumping from one church to the other, one would even think he’s running for CAN president. If I’m a Muslim from the north, I will equally be worried.

So you see, Hayatu and those supporting Peter Obi are all the same. They will continue to justify their bigotry through each other’s lens. We must condemn them all. We don’t need a president who will be surrounded by extremists from the south or extremists from the north. We need a president who is a Nigerian and who will be at home with every ethnic groups and religious.

Like Atiku supporters, like Obidient and Tinubu supporters.

The guy is angling for his share of the national cake. That is why he is voting for Atiku, despite the fact that Atiku has nothing in the tank for Nigeria.

Atikulate, another reason why i would prefer Tinubu. He has better ideology and will not sacrifice Nigeria for miscreants, even from his tribe.

So also tinubu supporters.

I have seen posts on this site agitating for people to vote for Tinubu on tribal grounds.

The problem is, Nigerians see economic development in terms of cake, not in terms of baking the cake or sourcing the ingredients....including making/growing/manufacturing the ingredients.

Anything can trend on Twitter. I should be there because this place is useless. The toxic nature for don kill my enthusiasm long ago.

Reactions.

The event he was talking about was sanctioned by the Atiku he supports, attended by Atiku's daughter, @I_Am_marwa and a large number of Muslim faithfuls. It was AFTER sallah but Hama was ready to burn me on a stake as one who has no respect for Islam.

Does it mean that his outlier views are not supported by the candidate, Atiku

We will not hear prof Wole Soyinka's voice condemning this rubbish talk from Atiku's camp. Reno Omokri will not tell Atiku to call his supporters to order but if its Peter Obi they will open their mouth and say thrash.

You are wrong. Southern Nigeria is not weak....they only just know how to manage a fragile nation.
If southerners think they should have both economic and political power excluding the north they are just kidding because if it were the other way round we will agitate too.
I dislike Obj but i must confess nobody has manage Nigeria diversity like him. He knew how to assuage the norths feeling as a southern president and handed over to a northerner for fairness.
The main REASON GEJ lost is because as at 2015 out of 16 years of democracy, south has ruled for14 including GEJ s 6....if it were the other way round no southerner will want to voteGEJ too.

Just imagine the kind of country we want to continue living in, so feelings will keep being assuaged?, Can't they use the political power to better themselves...? Or the country will not move forward again because of the Fulani tribe?? A minority tribe in the country?? why don't we just entrench rotation of the presidency between the 6 geopolitical zones into the constitution and stop this joke. This country is finished.

Hamma-Ahmed Hayatu is one of the PDP and Atiku Abubakar's most vocal supporters on social media. He is currently trending on Twitter because of this tweet. The tweet has been translated from Hausa by Google.

Hamma @HAHayatu

They have large number and they are united which can still favour their candidate, i wish south can be united and form a formidable front, but alas! south is more divided than ever now.

He Sounds crazy like he will rather let Nigeria get destroyed by being a divisive backwarded thinking and insecure tribal nuisance than saved by being a true nationalist where power rotates and Nigeria as a whole and every region prospers.

Simple rallying call: 'back to your tents oh...'.

Nigerians will live and die on their sentiment.

Cannot see Nigeria moving forward without restructuring.

A restructuring that will attend to the fears of the 'north' that they potentially have a worth off the stage and in the audience once a while.

For what is great art without the eyes to see it, the ears to hear it and the heart to appreciate it.
Re: Atiku's Supporter, Hamma-Ahmed Hayatu, Trends Because Of This Tweet by Nobody: 7:15am On Aug 13, 2022
Simple scenario..

If u want tinubu, vote APC
If u want obi, vote LP
If u want Biafra, arewa, oduduwa, vote PDP

I'm so glad diz man knows dat they have nothing and he confess am with hin mouth... but what he doesn't know is that during the course of having more of what u think u have, u can end up loosing everything...
Everybody just have to vote, we go get am right diz time around...

If they like, they should vote in bad leadership by playing to ethnic sentiments. The effect of bad leadership doesn't recognize ethnicity or religion. Everyone gets to suffer. These are the cards these politicians have been playing to have their way into power and nigerians that would fall for such are irredeemably foolish. This administration should have taught everyone a distasteful lesson to learn from.

But why is it such a big deal when the people of the East have been saying just the same using different words?

They've threatened to deal with anyone who dares to campaign for anyone else besides their son Obi. In this case on the other hand, the tweet was rather an emotional appeal, though sectarian, whereas Easterners threaten you flat out.

The only people who seem no be practicing real democracy on this country are the Middle Belt, South West, and South South.

The difference is clear.. North has been ruling Nigeria for decades and see where we are. So, they don't care if Nigerian finish patapata as long as they rule. That is the difference.

This is the silly sought of thinking that has brought this country to this level, Mr A killed 50 people, let him go after all Mr B killed 30 people in the past, hypocrites!!, Don't let your hatred for a whole tribe take you to an early grave...

Are all Obi supporters easterners?? Are all easterners bad people? You sideline one of the 3rd biggest tribes in the country from political power and show clear disdain for them and think they will not agitate?.

Is it the easterners that have decimated Maiduguri and other parts of the north east?, Is it the easterners causing havoc in the northwest pushing a huge population of the young children out of school??

Is it easterners that have killed thousands of people in your native Benue state??

These are the hypocritical statements coming out of the supporters of the so-called unifier, na like this Una won take unify the country...

The next thing they will term me Igbo or IPOB because I aired an opinion, HYPOCRITES!!!.
