Don't be surprised that the said #30k minimum wage will not be fully implemented, it's going to be CONSEQUENTIAL ADJUSTMENT for the officers on level 07 and above. This is what the Kwara State Government did and social media awashed that Kwara State is amongst the state that complied with the payment of #30k minimum wage. Only #10k was added to my salary. |

Zulum Approves Implementation Of N30,000 Minimum Wage To Teachers In Borno - Nairaland "The Borno state Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum has approved the immediate implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage to 4,491 qualified teachers under the payroll of Local Government Education Authority in the state with effect from August, 1, 2022." Me: Few weeks back I was among the Nigerian Activist that dragged the Borno State Governor, @ProfZulum, for the meager salary of Primary School Teachers in his state. The Governor just responded positively to our attacks. This is an important aspect of good governance for leaders to listen to positive criticism. Only the infallibles are above mistakes. Arrogance in leadership is a minus. One of the embodiments of the failed Nigerian system is poor remuneration of Teachers from Primary Schools to Secondary Schools and Tertiary education. A nation that does not value it Teachers will remain backward knowledge wise, scientifically and technically. It is our hope that the Primary School Teachers in Borno State will rise to the occasion of their responsibility to their Students. A Teacher earning 7,000 Naira in the past will now earn 30,000 plus. There is an improvement here. #ElbinawiTweets |

How wicked and selfish can these leaders be? How can anyone live on N7000 to N11000 in a month in Nigeria, while they are looting in billions? |

Mikelarteta:Don't you think those of us always criticising governors decisions will not be worst off when faced with the same challenges? How much does Borno state earn as allocation and how much is their IGR despite security challenges? And the same governor has to provide security, social amenities like :Schools, hospitals, good roads and water and social welfare for the down trodden and you think all these will work the hitting of your phone keyboard. How stupidly convenient for some of you to mouth off these nonsense! Some you who are always shouting and scream here can't even manage three people without being loopsided yet you talk anyhow. |
