So this post was borne out of examining the life of several music artists in America & in Nigeria. In my books, there are only very few non-weird people that have been successful in music. I understand the whole point of doing any form of Art is to attempt to create something that hasn't been created before. The first time something truly new is brought into existence, it will not have a frame of reference, and therefore their minds have to be weird, but then does this have to be true all the time??!

For example, take a look at Burna Boy, he clearly has a weird personality & anger problems.
- Kanye West obviously has mental health issues.
- Kendrick Lamar raps and sings like he is just got out of black slavery and chains in all his lyrics.
- Eminem is a kid from Detroit who hated his mother for no good reason & reminds everyone.
- 50 Cent was a kid who refused to die multiple times & fought everybody in the music industry including his own family members.
- Adele drops hits whenever she is heart broken from a new relationship, one breakup = one new hit.
- Michael Jackson always had a troubled life with younglings.
- Whitney Houston & her crack head spouse.
- Drake with all his money refuse to settle, even refuse to acknowledge his only child & always singing about his Exes that are already married! Phew!
- TuFace always having one new baby per year, but still drops good albums whenever he chose to go back to the studio.
- Kizz Daniel can never be punctual in his life even if his house is literally on fire.

So far the most balanced American artist has been Jay & Bey, had a family, sticked together even with misunderstandings. Kept their kids off TikTok & social media in general. None of them acting like crack heads with mental health issues etc.

In the Nigerian music scene, the only 3 normal creatives who top the chart, Fireboy & AG, Asake is definitely not a normal person.

Thank God am not the only one that do have that thought.

Na nonsense tho, but most times easiest and the best way to make a hit song is to write about your experience or feelings... So ppl with more experience about life tends to have upper hand in making better music by telling their story

That's what Adele does, her songs are very low in emotions. 50 Cent did the same thing too, wrote a whole album about shooting people and getting shot.
