NATO's intervention in Kosovo aimed to reverse the Serb campaign of ethnic cleansing in the province which drove the Albanians into neighbouring countries and had the potential to destabilize the region, NATO intervention ensure the safe return of Kosovar Albanians.

Putin's objective was far beyond that man, why then did Russia pressed forward into Kyiv during the first month of invasion, Russia attempted to take the entire Ukraine by deploying soldiers to several parts of Ukraine, it was the unexpected resistance from the Ukrainians who became inspired by their president that made Russia to later pulled out of Kyiv and focus in Donbass and other eastern parts of Ukraine.
