Twitter, a social media company, has at long last made its eagerly anticipated Edit Tweet tool available.
On Thursday, August 1, 2022, the business announced that it is testing the long-awaited edit button and some users may start seeing modified tweets in their stream.
Twitter claims that the function is presently undergoing "internal testing."
The "Edit Tweet" pilot will start with internal staff members before being opened up to users who have "Twitter Blue" subscriptions, according to the business.
The business wrote on its site, "Edit Tweet is a tool that lets consumers make adjustments to their Tweet after it's been published. "Think of it as a brief window of time to add missing tags, fix typos, and other things."
Users could make "a few" edits to a tweet under the revision under study within 30 minutes of the tweet's initial posting, the company said. This would "help protect the integrity of the conversation and create a publicly accessible record of what was said."
