The course is intended for design engineers, installation technicians, and quality assurance teams. This course helps participants obtain a solid foundation of information about alternative fuels, alternative fuel vehicles, and advanced technology vehicles. Through this course, participants gain the ability to discuss different alternative fuel technologies, fuel prices, and how they are affected by national and international events. Unstable fuel prices, coupled with concerns for the environment and air quality, have led many Nigerians to seek information about alternatives to gasoline, diesel fuel, and other petroleum-based products.

TOPIC: The Use of Natural Gas in Nigeria to Reduce Carbon Emissions

In a world where national energy policies increasingly demand that emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases be minimized or eliminated, natural gas and pipeline and storage infrastructure play important roles. This is an online training course about these roles.

We investigate the potential for natural gas to serve as a transitional fuel that can be used instead of other, dirtier fossil fuels to cut carbon emissions. When handling natural gas substitutes made from renewable resources or by utilizing renewable energy, we also consider sources other than fossil fuels to define roles for the transportation and storage infrastructure.
