Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has been awarded a Doctor of Arts honorary degree by the University of Wolverhampton for her outstanding contribution to arts and culture. The University of Wolverhampton confers these honorary degrees on people for their outstanding contributions to their areas of expertise. She studied drama and performance at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with first-class honours in 2009. “My experience at Wolverhampton was literally life-changing – it is the foundation upon which my career has been built,” she said at the time about her alma mater.
