The Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, has described the continued importation of petroleum products into Nigeria, despite the country’s being one of the largest producers of crude oil in the world, as shameful.

Obaseki said this on Sunday in Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State, at the 10-year remembrance service of Chief Jeremiah Ighodalo, father of the Chairman of Sterling Bank Plc, Dr. Asue Ighodalo.

He said “The continuous importation of fuel into the nation is a patriotic shame to Nigeria.

“As one of the largest producers of crude oil in the African continent, Nigeria has no business importing fuel into the country. It’s a shame we are still importing fuel”

As a nation, we should not be importing fuel at this point in our life. It’s a patriotic shame borrowing from the words of Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adiche,” he said.

Also speaking, the President, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, while speaking on his refinery, said the plant will hopefully begin operation and supply of products in 2023.

He explained that the refinery can provide petroleum products for the whole of Nigeria and some parts of West and Central Africa hopefully by 2023.

He said he is hopeful that the refinery will address the importation of fuel once it commences operation.

Ghana refinery is up and running. They cater for their local consumption. Nigeria mata na case. Okay, Issue licences to investors to build modular refineries, na wahala. The few investors issued have been frustrated politically.

That's why we need Peter Obi now.
Otherwise the cabals holding down the country will never allow anything work.

Nigeria must move from consumption to production.

Even elementary school kids would shudder to learn that Nigeria, one of the world's largest exporters of crude oil, imports the refined product when she could easily just process her own stuff here.

That shit gets me all the time.

And I wonder why we're still putting up with APC/PDP.

Such useless parties!

Very shameful

Thank God Bola Ahmed Tinubu conceived the idea of Lekki free trade zone, a port and an industrial estate, thank God Aliko Dangote invested his money in refinery, fertiliser and other crude derivatives

It’s not just shameful, it’s mind boggling and heart wrenching to see a country held down by the evil forces of corruption while the masses sing the praises of their captors.

Shame on Nigeria. Corruption and sheer wickedness has made it impossible for us 2 refine and export,we keep importing even from Niger that found crude oil yesterday. What is the cost of building a refinery?

A country led by evil forces disguised as leaders.

How has he been part of the problem please,is he part of the problem because he was a a PDP member or part of it because he has held a strategic position in government as an individual and failed to deliver?

What is your reason for labeling him “part of the problem”?.

Dear business owner,

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING YOUR BUSINESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

A recent survey carried out by renowned researchers from a top business school has shown that to a large extent, the success of your business depends on public perception.

Ask yourself these questions. What comes to mind when your company's name is heard? What do people think about your business? What is your business identified with?

As you should already know, it is almost impossible to succeed in today's internet world, without proper branding. What your potential customer thinks of your business is very important.

PLEASE, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION NOW.

Do you know that the most visible element of your brand is your logo? If your logo is substandard, potential customers and investors will likely think that your company is inferior to that of your competitors who have a more professional branding image.

This is not just hearsay. A study conducted over 10 years by The Design Council has proved that a strong design, increases business performance and revenue.

If you must move your business to the next level in this technology age, it is very important that you invest in a professional logo today.

The good news is, there is a brand that currently offers to design a high quality logo at just 40% of its original cost.

Instead of ₦10,000, you can get the following at just ₦3,990!;

• An outstanding, distinctive logo. As a result, your business would see a significant growth in its clientele and potential customers.
• A completely opaque version of your logo that can be applied as a stamp on images of your goods and services.
• A two-dimensional rendition of your logo to be used on business cards, stationary, and other materials.
• Three distinct 3D variants of your logo that provide you a market advantage and separates it from the logos of your competitors.
• Your company's logo in PDF format.

Call them with the number on the flyer below or contact them via WhatsApp to take advantage of this discount before it ends.

Your design will get delivered within 24 - 48 HOURS!!!

Send them a message now!

There is nothing that can be so shameful more than that.
That's the singular fact that I say Buhari failed woefully. That was one of those things I told people then that he will do, that he will revamp all our refineries but he got there and joined the cabal kneeling on Nigeria's neck.
