A chieftain of the Labour Party, Professor Patrick Utomi has stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, made a mistake by dumping Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and fielding an ailing person to be the flag-bearer of the party come the 2023 presidential election.

Utomi stated this while appearing on Channels TV’s Politics Today, monitored by Quest Times on Monday.

According to him, Osinbajo should have been better for APC and not Bola Tinubu who he considers as being “weak” and “unfit” for president.

“Tinubu is not fit, physically you can see he is ailing, you can see it, let’s be true to ourselves, let him go through a medical that will be made public in Nigeria,” he said.

However, when asked to speak on the support of Afenifere for the Obi/Datti ticket, Prof Utomi said he wasn’t surprised when the association announced its support for Obi/Datti, noting that Afenifere was built on moral principles, equity, fairness, and inclusiveness.

He stated that Afenifere has moral authority and has an alliance with PADEF, Middle Belt groups, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and has all it takes to make Obi/Datti win the forthcoming election.

Obidient think they are wise. They thought they can deceive apc. Do you know why Tinubu is a big bone in their throat? Tinubu they called lagos landlord for years and lagos in his pocket can use lagos and the good works of Buhari to campaign while u can't pin Buharis downside directly on him. They really don't have much to throw at Tinubu cos most of them still run to. Lagos to survive but in Osibanjo case, they would have dumped the whole of Buhari failures on him without him having what to campaign with in a state. So it is easy to finish him and he will now be on the defensive.. But Ashiwaju can always go on attack and counter attack with lagos or Buhari achievements so u see why it dey pain them.

If APC had picked Osinbajo the election would have been over by now..
