Bros e be like say this abroad no dey freak you again?grin

Abroad has never freaked me from day one. In fact there are things delaying me here and after that, I am relocating back to Africa, maybe not Nigeria, but Africa. For me, I will rather go for tourism, buy things, then come back to my domain where I am a king. I like big houses with huge forest behind them, like the sun, and living in a place where the people looks like me, and see me as an example of a citizen they want to be like. I like pride.

I have been living in the west since I was a teenager, and there is no a single year I didn't go to Nigeria at least twice. So I am not speaking from a place of ignorance. I know Nigeria well, and I go often. The country has lots of bad sides, I know, but I like it. But of course, I admit that if one is in a very lower economic rung, the country will be hell. ANd for that, I thank God.

I like the fact that you're being plain about this japa of a thing.

Let's say you weren't abroad or you haven't gone abroad before, a lot of people will say you're speaking in ignorance.

For a truth, I would love to relocate, but I'm beginning to change my perspective about this relocation stuff. I would love to relocate to a country where I know I'll find a lot of my black skinned people, not one that will make me lonely or home sick.

Speaking of an African country that's relocating worth to, what are the African countries that's at the top of your list??

Best thing to do. They are currently lambasting those abroad on this thread. Their obsession with those abroad is sickening.

Let me make it clear just in case my post does not reflect it. Anyone that wants to Japa, please do. But don't do it out of ignorance, or thinking Japa will save you from yourself. I see this a lot, thinking coming abroad will save your problems. But a lizard back home will not turn to an alligator abroad. White people also respect the Africans that come to their country for holiday and go back home. I respect such.

The society you live in only amplifies you. Also, if the menial job is your thing, then Japa. But for one to think being abroad meant you are better is foolishness. There are many more people in Nigeria I term successful than many people here. Abroad is not a success. God created the earth, not ''God created abroad''. You can achieve success anywhere, even in Nigeria. or other African countries.

African countries I would like to relocate to? Honestly, I don't know. But if I will describe what the country will look like. It has to be stable politically, Speaks English, with a huge population. My brain thinks in terms of business, so I need a huge market for my services. So probably Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia, and of course, Nigeria.

Better travel if you have the chance.

Pansophist is a citizen already. You have none. If you like, stay in this dead Nigeria, you go hear am later. The positives far outweigh the negatives. Be wise.

Remember, Tinubu is becoming president in few months. Be prepared for Buhari Promax ×10. Pansophist can afford to relocate all his family outside of the country if e red, but you? Na agbado and ewa go get you last last.

Be wise, my friend. Just equip yourself well before you travel (skills, qualifications) etc.

No, that is not what I am trying to say. Please don't assume the worse from my comments.

I am referring to that segment of the population that sees traveling to the west as the only measurement of success. Those who didn't come as a student or have no skills/qualifications to do professional jobs. Those that dump certainty back home, for uncertainty elsewhere. And they are the majority I see here in Europe, unless maybe in Canada, where you have to be skilled as an immigrant before you migrate.

If you are living below an average life in Nigeria and the opportunity comes for you to travel, I don't see why such a person shouldn't take it. People should just understand that before travelling abroad, certain skills and qualifications should be gotten to equip themselves. Also, I don't know what you call a menial job IMO. As a student studying abroad, you'll usually have to settle for what you call a menial job until at least you graduate and can get a job with better career progression.

Also, people have different experiences and stories to tell. To some, travelling was the best decision they took, to others, they regretted it.

If I had a 2nd citizenship and a job paying me millions, I won't be so motivated to scamper to another country, after all, should anything happen, I have where to run to. I will advise any youth who is able, willing, living an average or below-average life, futuristic and interested in leaving Nigeria to do that because in years to come, you'll ask yourself why you never took that decision. Enough said.

How is that a miserable existence? I save more than half of my monthly income, I drive a brand new 2021 Toyota RAV4 hybrid SUV, I live in a four bedroom house with just my girlfriend, I eat what I like, I go on regular vacation, I send about 250k to Naija monthly to support my folks, I wear designers like Michael Kors, I use the latest IPhone, I have constant light and water supply, I have not encountered police in like 3yrs, and I can go on and on. Bro, this is the dream, and I am living it.

Me that I'm talking sef, I don't see myself in Nigeria in the next 1 yeargrin. God knows I can't wait to leave, but like what you said, I'm skilling up like mad.

Abroad will be sweeter if you go with something tangible to offer, that's what I'm trying to do. I ain't desperate like some may be. If it's possible though, I'll love to migrate to a black populated, yet stable and economically viable country.

You won't admit it, but I'm sure you went on that cruise using credit (debt). Nobody can afford anything in these developed countries without debt.

You went on a cruise but nobody wants to interact with you on the cruise because they think you're servants / waiters. Imagine living life at the bottom of society, despised, scorned and treated like trash, no matter how much money you have.

Your kids are grown up but probably act like Akatas and have no African culture again. They're probably into homosexuality, pornography (onlyfans), drugs and other degenerate behaviour accepted as normal in the West.

Then why are people in that country in queues at 4 am in the morning just to get visas to come and live in those developed countries that you so much despised? Your so call African Culture that you hang on to so dearly what has the culture gotten you?

The only thing I miss about Nigeria is my girlfriend and neighbors love and I started eating my flat mates food , offering them mine too so we can create a bond.
I just spent a month here and I'm the definition of things are still rough.
But guys I have read almost all similar thread like this one before jumping this boat ,it feels terrible atimes, but abroad will humble you
If you have pride and like show off You will hate yourself here.
Suddenly, big boy swag won't matter again.
I know few friends based on their way of life that I may advise against traveling and I know some I will tell to go.

Exactly my point.

The way Russia take arm itself with nukes to the teeth, you should arm yourself skills to the bone. No country want liability, and to tap into the beauty any country has to offer, come with skills.

If you don't have skills, then you'll make money via your muscle. You'll be overworked like a camel. But with skills, na cruising you go de.

All good choices.. Although Ethiopia is looking shaky with the civil war over there.. but they signed a peace deal recently, so things are looking good for now.

Don't sleep on Southern African countries.. Zambia, Botswana, Namibia.. Angola has the 6th largest economy in Africa. Mozambique is also opening up.

It's funny hearing comments like yours addressing to someone like me. if you know anyone living in Europe, just ask them, Europe is a boredom, unless the person is an introvert naturally.

True talk.

But these countries have small populations. Namibia would have been the best, but it's empty. A country almost the size of Nigeria but has about 2M people.

Botswana and Namibia are same, of which Namibia is better. Angola and Mozambique speaks Portuguese. Guy man is too old to learn a new language.

As per Zambia, na Chinese get that country lol. Too small and too broke. So you see, no much options for Africa lol
