Abdukrasheed Bawa is now a convicted felon.

Whenever he decides to play active politics and vie for an election, this conviction will be digged up to disqualify him. Continue disobeying court orders. You will pay one way or the other. grin

Lols

Someone was convicted in 2020 and today she's deputy governorship candidate of a major political party.

When we talk about strong institutions, this is what we are saying. We have no strong institutions. Imagine the way the courts are disobeyed. Why wouldn't they? Who in their right sense will look at a fascist state like Nigeria and take it serious? That is why we can't have investors or nothing. The sleazebags in charge of this country have deplored it's values so much that we can't have nothing, I mean nothing going for it. Imagine a country where a criminal case against the police will have only the police investigating and giving Forensic evidence in court. Why wouldn't things be messed up? A lot of Nigerians are ignorant. The police keeps lobbying the legislators to maintain the status quo. Activist and political judges with little or no knowledge of the sanctity of the constitution, politicians and appointees having little or no value for the courts.

Valid points.
But where the man see 40 million frm?

Nobody is above the law including public officials. If we can't protect the constitution and implement the law, we don't have a country to run

Court Judgements usually favor the connected and powerful. Government officials and politicians have finished bastardizing our judiciary.

You are right on point! Whether the sentence is allowed to be carried out or not, it will continue to be an albatross around his neck.

Stupid post. Is EFCC a single person or an organization?
How can the organization be found wanting and the chairman is sentenced.
Very laughable

I can see that you have the technical experience where money and cash is given to a suspected criminal to use that proceed of crime to do case with govt. smh

The SC has stated that where national security is at stake, humanright takes the back seat. FG will not release that money and car to him to sell the car and cash out no matter what the judge thinks. It is proceed of crime like this that give the nation serious security problems.

What you wrote is perplexing and comical! Suspected criminal, not criminal only suspected. Further, case was brought before the court, the prosecutors could not prove their case and judgment was made in favor of the defense. How do you serve justice by being unjust? How do you defend the law by breaking the law? That it ain't chief! Do better!

MNK is prisoner of Attorney General Malami who represents the interest of his Fulani in Nigeria.
Malami's hurried declaration of IPOB as terrorist organisation complicated things, and has led to the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians. IPOB was a most peaceful organisation before Nigerias government started to use the armed forces of Nigeria to kill IPOB youths.
No country of saner persons kill people of non violent separatist group, then go to court to declare the group as terrorist organisation. Only in Nigeria.
Malami is acting out the orders of his principal, Buhari, whose hatred for the Southern part of Nigeria, especially the Igbo tribe, is not hidden. Evil awaits them both!

it is far more than that.... Someone is in charge of that establishment... Infact the judgement was given when he wasn't even made chairman of efcc, but for the fact that the tenure is a continous tenure and he is in charge right now and he was briefed about the case and didn't yeild to court order, that's why he has been charged for disobedience of court order, if damaged was to be paid, the entity will be charged the damages because the account is in the entity name...
