Trial of Chidinma Ojukwu di alleged killer of Super TV CEO kontinu on Tuesday but she no start her defense sake of say her lawyer say e neva ready to bring am on.

Last week Thursday, di young lady bin also no take di stand sake of di absence of second witness. Wen di court resume sitting today, di prosecution counsel Adenike Oluwafemi introduce police officer ASP Funke Madeyinlo as di second witness and she give her testimony to di court.

For her testimony, di ASP say on 21st June 2021, di officer in charge of homicide department for Police SCID Razak Useni carri di first defendant (Chidinma) to write her statement.

During cross examination, counsel to di first defendant Onwuka Egwu ask weda na after her colleague bin don assault di first defendant she begin take di statement? Di witness say di ASP bin no dey around.

When di counsel ask am weda she bin dey ask di first defendant question wen she dey write statement.

She answer say “I no ask her any questions, she write everything by herself. Di only question I ask am be ‘you dey ok wit wetin you don write’ she say ok, I tell am to sign am”.

Wen e reach Chidinma turn do her defense, her counsel Onwuka Egwu tell di court say dem never ready, say dem need time to go put dia house in order just like DI prosecution team don do.

Judge Yetunde Adesanya adjourn di case to Thursday 17 November, for continuation of trial within trial.
