PART OF ME

When the sun rose this morning, I realized I could not wait another day to tell you what I had been holding back.
I have something I want to tell you.

A part of me wants you nearby.
A part of me wants to live with you and be with you forever.
You are the reason why a part of me still exists

There's a reason I still hold you as part of me,
For I breathe in your light
And nature upholds this paradox of staying in one body.
Whenever you feel pain,
I feel like it's etched on me.

Truly you're part of me,
Even our skin perforations inhales and exhales in unison,
A perfect symbol of being part of me.
Behold, keep me in you, it's where I feel safe.
As your treatment is as your own self.

You're a part of me that comforts,
You're a part of me that elevates,
You're part of me that guards,
I feel you're not just part of me but
you're me, my replica
'cause part of me stays in the very heart and soul.
