Yesterday while we were watching a programme on AIT my father started narrating the whole Biafra Civil war to us again.
Now when parents do this over and over and pass it down their generations tell me how the Biafra spirit will die. Even a five year old in Igbo land knows about Biafra and will give his children the gist. Even if you don't teach history in Igbo land these stories are handed over verbally in various households from day to day. You can't stop the ideology.

Pls understand that Soyinka is not (either directly or otherwise) supporting the sessessionists. The heading of ''biafra can't be defeated" is just a propaganda by d op to add âjásà (spice) to what Soyinka said.

2. If anyone (with conscience) shd pray that biafra shd be forgotten, definitely it's not Nigerians (hausas, yorubas and core south-southerners) but d biafrans (Ibos), due to d Jan 15 ethnic cleansing of a coup which eventually culminated in the biafran war.

Don't you want the history to be taught in schools? Why are they trying to bury it and pretend as if everything is fine?
