A final-year student of Federal University, Dutse, Aminu Muhammad has been released.

He was arrested by the police at his varsity on November 18 over a tweet that appeared to mock Mrs. Aisha Buhari.

His arrest elicited mixed reactions with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) apologising to Mrs. Buhari over the tweet.

The tweet, which was posted on June 8, reads: “Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi.”

Muhammad’s tweet, accompanied by a photo of Aisha, loosely translates as “Mama has eaten poor people’s money and is now full”.

He had been arraigned before Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, where he pleaded not guilty and was remanded at Suleja prison in Niger State.

Aminu was charged with Cybercrime, Cybersquatting, Computer Related Forgery, Conspiracy and Criminal Breach of Trust.

Brave boy. His popularity begins. You'd go places boy, for telling Nigerian gullible youths the plain truth about our leaders. I'm so sure you're among those who were made to waste 8 good months at home as a result of someone's clueless rule.

The boy was right . Aisha in 2022 is clearly different from.the Aisha of 2015....feeding fat on tax payers' money. The rate at which the woman trades in fx with direct links to the CBN no be wasa. All their shady deals in this administration will be exhumed someday. There would be a pharaoh who would reign and would not know their Joseph.

The only thing I don't like about him was his support for the killing of the poor Deborah who didn't mention Muhammed or made any inflammatory comment about him, contrary to what her killer had claimed. Thanks to the voice message which proved them wrong

When Buhari said governors re the reason for the high level of poverty in Nigeria, he is really right even tho I disagree with him on many things but as for this one he's correct. Am someone who ve been very close to the seat of government at State level for long, I will tell u how this wicked governors play their wicked games.
Now if the allocation for salary meant for both pensioners and workers let's say 2billion naira comes , a Governor will fix this huge amount of money for like 1, 2 or even 3 months or more in a bank. You can imagine the huge Interest the fixed money will generate. Now workers will complain that they didn't receive their salaries for those months the money was fixed. Now when the duration the money was fixed expires, he now pays those workers just for 1 month with the interest generated from the fixed money and now pockets the actual money all to himself leaving behind arrears of salaries.
U see bank mangers and governors dem wicked pass devil.
BUT AS FOR BUHARI, NIGRERIANS CAN'T JUST WAIT FOR HIM TO VACATE DAT SEAT COZ HE OOZES OF INCOMPETENCE AND FAILURE

Neither governors nor government is responsible for poverty

People are responsible for themselves and their situation. A fundamental problem we have is religion and superstition
The belief that God makes people rich and related magical thinking coupled with a a strong desire to get what we have not earned

It's good that he is finally release, I believe he has learnt his lesson. We all need to be careful with the use of social media, don't think you cannot be trace. Cyber bullying is still a crime, cyber stalking is a crime.

As many suggested here, all charges will be dropped the moment it was discovered that this boy supported the murder of Deborah, Aisha acted fast before she will be accused of fighting against Allah's apostle who defended Islam by supporting the killing of an apostate who 'insulted' Prophet Mohammed.

See cyberbully o.So he is this frail looking small boy? smh.

They cowardly hide behind monikers to insult and defame others yet you will think they are huge fierce looking bull.

Thank you Mrs Buhari for unmasking him.

This is how the cyberbullies here on nairaland are in real life too; they and their irresponsible parents who failed to raise them well will be unmasked by FG someday too.

He is not brave and goes nowhere except in fanatics cycle, supporting the killing of a fellow youth over your religious beliefs is gross and absurd.
