INEC Office Set Ablaze In Imo by Yibo(m): 6:28am On Dec 03, 2022

Hoodlums have set ablaze an office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Imo State.

They also kidnapped some construction workers who were later rescued.
The development comes days after an office of the commission was set ablaze in Ebonyi State, with electoral materials, including ballot boxes, destroyed.

Commenting on the Imo attack, National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, said the incident happened in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo.

In a statement, he said the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Imo State, Prof. Sylvia Uchenna Agu, reported the attack.

Festus Okoye said in a statement on Friday, Dec. 2: "The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Imo State, Professor Sylvia Uchenna Agu, reported that our office in Orlu Local Government Area was attacked. The incident occurred yesterday, Thursday, 1st December 2022.

"The building, which is undergoing extensive renovation following an earlier attack, was vandalised and partially set ablaze. Three out of seven construction workers were abducted but later released.

"The damage would have been more extensive but for the quick response of the Nigeria Police which has deployed its personnel to the site."

He continued: "This is one attack too many. The Commission once again expresses its concern over the spate of attacks on its facilities and the negative consequences on our preparations for the 2023 General Election."

Someone is scared of losing woefully in Southeast APC states.
After Imo disgrace and walkout, the next strategy is voters suppression.

Destroy the voters cards in Imo and Ebonyi.

The dirty rotten teeth is making good his threat of fighting dirty.

By the time APC finish with the south east, south east will be using cowries for business, living in caves , using wood logs to cross river Niger.

Exactly!

This is no longer Unknown Gun Men but APC attacking the stronghold of opposition.

I suggest INEC gets security for all their offices in the Southeast until the elections are over.

These idiots are ready to play dirty.

They have always been like that blaming Tinubu on thier region misfortune. Over 60% of igbos will go to thier village even if is to borrow money to enter bus back to Lagos in January they will definitely go and show thier village people they are the big boys ruling Lagos grin.

Igbo people can scheme ..
The plan is to ensure Apc does not get 25% vote in the south East and they are now attacking areas they feel can give the 25%

First was Ebonyi
Now is Imo
The two states have APC governor's.

It's ok if it's them doing it, but if it's some other tribe, they cry blue blood, and call on UN, world bank, EU, UBA, and any acronym they find...

Other tribes should just read the game plan and then find their strongholds and also....

If you don't play fair, don't cry if Karma serves you in equal measure

The governor of Imo State is the one totally responsible for this carnage.
The state is under 24 hours military patrol. He also has his own killing machine, the Evil Ebubeagu. This very governor has been killing since the inception of his regime. The state is not such a wide area demographically, monitoring entrance and exit points can't be rocket science here. So how is it possible for all these arsonists to always attack state infastructures nso easily, even in the state capital? It obviously means that those in government are now utilizing the unknown gunmen template to scare off voters since they can't win in a free and fair elections. Period!
