There is a reason the governors are saying this. They know their unintelligent indigenes will rather focus on Buhari than demand accountability from them.

No governor ever complained of non disbursement of allocations to states and LG.

A governor won election by sharing 1 litre of kerosene to some households. Since then, the next project the governor embarked on was to kick start award of N500 to any woman who put to bed. After that, nothing more was ever heard.

But indigenes of the state have been insulting Buhari and Tinubu for stealing their future. That is clear display of stark illiteracy. They expect Buhari to start sinking boreholes and repairing roads in their communities.
you have already admitted that your administration failed woefully. Shame shame to buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari buhari..

That's what they made us believe , army or police can not secure us not because they were not equiped but how many are they ?

Base on what kind of information are they going to act ? don't blame them cos I've seen where criminals put a distress call and successfully laid ambush and kill the DPO in rivers .

in my community till tomorrow , if you're a cult boy maybe in your school and it ends there . .you don't come to mumu yourself for house cos na people demself go hold you and send you to where you belong .

Security starts when you know your neighbour and who does that anymore ? na mind your business ! and the business you'll never get rest of mind doing ?

See bro .....pls think about it we can make changes not solely govt responsibility .

Even the FG and state governments have agreed that poverty has increased Nationwide.

But some useless creatures that will never see good in their life are here telling us that Buhari and the apc has made NIGERIA better than he met it.

There is so much corruption in the system.

Mindless looting and diversion of public wealth.

And some hopeless bastards think that the solution to the problem is to elect even greater crooks.

Na God go punish una papa.

Who has the power to devalue the Naira by their actions: the FG!

They destroyed the economy of Nigeria and opt for devaluation when in tight corners!

I Begin to wonder, how can a state governor be collecting allocation from federal government, senators be collecting allocation, constituence allowance, from federal government and They know very well that's those people are not using this money to the betterment of the citizens They represent, The FG can not summons them, expecially that of benue state governor, I have never seen anything this governor have done in that state. You mean this man did not been collecting allocation?

Yes we know that our governors are useless but is Buhari not more useless than the governors?

People like you are the reason why politicians take Nigerians for granted,

You always take side when they are exposing their foolishness.

Not making excuses, Nigerians are very wicked and the youths are lazy according to Buhari.......... We like blame game that is why the governors are blaming the FG etc........
You can't succeed in a highly corrupt/poverty minded people as it is in Nigeria.........
Long and short, those looting Nigerian's money to develop already developed foreign countries are blaming Buhari, those supporting these looters out of sentiment/religion/tribalism are blaming Buhari.....
example is the case of Ibori, the former Delta state governor who was celebrated for looting their state fund.... cool cool cool.....
And there are so many likes of Ibori the looter in Nigeria....

We are all suffering due to our own wickedness/poverty mindset......shikina

This blame game will not help us.. we need proactive leaders

I find it odd that they can mobilize large numbers of law enforcement from both the police and military as task force for activities like seizing of bikes on the highways but when it comes to protecting the citizens, they feel incapacitated and say only the CinC can work it out.

I am not understanding.

The governors are bunch of idiots, lots of states should be liquidated and merged with Neighboring states. Just a waste of resources having these many states and clueless governors.

Buhari and APC - The biggest disaster to befall Nigeria since independence. Worse than the military regime.

The governors have their fair share of the blame but the FG is falling far short of its mandate.

Economic growth under Buhari since 2015 has averaged 1.1% a year, much lower than the 6% that norm between 1999-2013. A lot of the economic slowdown was brought about by Buhari's meddling in the fixing of the exchange rate which has led to catastrophic results.

All states will be adversely affected by the state of the national economy. It can not be divorced from it.

Also note that many governors have no clue what is best for their people even when they have the right motive.

States like Lagos and Kaduna have done well because they have been run by technocrats. There is usually a difference when a technocrat runs things.

And I will reiterate- the federal government has no right to blame the state governments considering its very lamentable results. The economic suffering is too much and people are fleeing the country. At a time of high oil prices when the masses should be enjoying, the Naira is collapsing and the government revenue is insufficient to even service debt. This government has no option to borrow as it has repeatedly refused to make hard choices.

When Okonjo Iweala condemned the governors for being wasteful during OBJ tenure, it carried some weight. They had reduced the foreign debt from $35bn to $5bn using a debt buyback. Created the Excess Crude Account and had $20bn in it. The foreign reserves were $60bn.

Quite educative write up from you.
But if our oil production of 1.8m barrels was being met instead of exports dropping to 8-900k barrels, I dont think we would have been in this terrible state. The Niger delta was producing more before it was militarized. Imagine the income in hard currency lost from eg 1m barrels daily.
In my humble opinion, that is the major reason we are in this poo. The loss of income during this period of high oil prices. This I think is the major cause of the tanking of the value of the naira. Ie reduced forex income and further poverty.
Who is responsible for this? As far as I know, you cannot paddle a canoe towards our waters in the Niger delta without the navy intercepting you, much more super tankers carrying 3m barrels of oil.
Therefore, I think the problem is from the highest level of government.

I don't expect you to have sense after all you are a zombie. Every negative thing is done by the state governor right? And this only started under Buhari, during Jonathan the inefectual Buffon and a currupt drunkard there were no state governors right? It was when he was voted out because of insecurity, curruption and hardship that Buhari and state governors were elected right? Urchins always thing that everyone is as brainless as they are.
