The Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, has announced the appointment of a new substantive Rector, Dr Sani Manyahaya, as the 6th substantive Rector of the citadel of learning.

A release signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of the institution, Alhaji Isiaka Tunji Agboola, the copy which was made available to newsmen on Tuesday by the Protocol, Media and Public Relations Officer, Sola Lawal, quoted a letter signed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu to that effect.

According to the release, the letter indicated that the appointment is for a single term of five years with effect from 21st November, 2022 and in line with Federal Polytechnic Act as amended (2019).

Dr. Manyahaya, is the immediate past Deputy Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State, he was educated at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State where he obtained his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering in 1994, and went ahead to bag his Msc in Telecommunications Engineering in 2008 at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and PHD in Wireless and Control Engineering in 2004 at the same institution.

Dr. Sani Manyahaya joined the service of Federal Polytechnic, Bida in 1996 and served in various capacities before he became Chief Lecturer at the institution.

The release, therefore, enjoined all staff and students to give the new Rector all the necessary assistance and cooperation to enable him carry-out his duty effectively and efficiently.
