I like the concept.

Similar to Nairaland’s model of text based simplicity.

Your color choices also are very ‘brave’.

Loads well on mobile (i have not tried on a desktop).

Your authentication redirects well. I would advise you consider adding google authentication as it makes sign up easier.

Is it possible to have club logos? Just asking.

Another point. If there is no existing pair, you can remove them from the array or redirect the user to create the pair.

Not sure there's such a thing as "European Football". Association Football yes. My comment though was about consistent language. Stick with one of Football or Soccer
