Russia was not in Ukraine originally to grab land. Ukraine was killing and oppressing thousands of people if calls its citizens, ethnic Russians in the Donbas. Russia has been warning them to stop since 2014. They never listened but continued to encourage the racist, Nazis amongst them to run out of control, maiming and killing as they like. Not just that, they wanted to join NATO when Russia knows there is an evil agenda by NATO to destroy Russia with complete blockade. US was developing biolabs in Ukraine. 1. The overthrow of the pro-russian govt in 2014 was not democratic and was with heavy foreign influence unprecedented in Ukrainian history. US supplied weapons to rioters and provided funds for mass movements. In the end, a democratically elected president was forced to flee. Just as the western and southern Ukrainians rose against the pro-russian govt, so also did the eastern Ukrainians rise against the new pro-western regime. Instead of listening to their grievances, pro-west Ukraine embarked on a crackdown. These people say they don't want to be part of Ukraine, instead of conducting a referendum, Ukrainian govt backed NAzi scums that terrorised and killed them. One special case in Odessa involved extremist, armed pro-westerners locking up hundreds of pro-russian activists in a building and setting it on fire as they burnt alive. Ukrainian police watched without coming to their rescue and nobody has been held accountable till today. Are you saying these are not genuine grievances?


2. Donbas has gas but nowhere near Qatar, Saudi, or even Nigeria. Remember, Russia is still the largest gas producer, without Donbas.
