I have been in the game of losing and gaining fat for at least a decade. As a former university fitness fine boy, I have seen so much wrong information on the internet, especially money-hungry social media thieves (aka influencers) that prey on people's ignorance to make money.
So if you have problems/questions about losing fat/gaining muscles, drop them here, and I will handle it. I will delve into the science of how food relates to your body. And guess what? for free.

Pansophist thank you for this thread. I burn calories faster due to my metabolism. What to eat to gain weight and what set of foods do one eat?
Also, I have a bench press set and dumbbell. What advice can you give towards a fit body.

How old are you? (you can give an age range), and by gaining weight, do you mean gain fat or gain muscle?
And also, what is your diet like? Within the past three days, what did you eat?

Early 30s. Gain muscle I meant.
Past 3 days. Rice with steak, poundo with a lots of meat and fish, burritos.

I am in my late 20s and i want to gain muscle.
My body type is ectomorph
I mostly eat carbs.
I am trying exercise using home workout app like 3 times in a week, though i am not consistent

I'm a Mesomorph and just started gyming (but I've been playing football for over 20 years) about 6 weeks ago with gains showing already.
Please I need tips lose (belly) fat and gain more muscles.

So I am 23 years old, I just started since early this year doing 15 pushups every morning. I eat beans a lot, Rice, Spaghetti, Different soups with meat or fish. After everything I eat I still look slim.
My younger brother is all looking big and fat and also muscular.
What do I do or eat to gain weight & muscles pls?

15 pushups will have little effect on your muscle building.
You have got to train yourself to be doing 100 at a go. Also, don't do the normal pushup. You have got to hang your legs on something higher than other parts of your body and start pushing up. This way is more painful no doubt, but, more effective.

I've started trying to do some weight training (in the past if I ever did exercise I'd only do cardio) but it's so painful.
How are you people doing 100 lifts at a time, I can barely manage 30 sometimes (5kg dumbbells only smh) lol. I guess it's gradual thing and you've got to start somewhere, consistency is my issue but I'm trying to do better

Start from the 30 you can do now and keep adding up additional 10 or so daily. Adding up little by little will make your body adopt easily to the additional exercise load. Before you know it, you will be doing 100 easily.
Ultimately, it won't be easy, but, showing up everyday and being highly disciplined will keep you in the game.
