Can river niger be dredged to allow ocean vessels to kogi and niger? Would first and second niger bridge not affect the passage of large vessel? |

Yes after the finishing of 2nd Niger bridge... Barrow Kaduna port and Onisha port would become functional, Lokoja is also on the way For now water level are kept low |

Hollykid: Its not necessary for an oceanliner to sail up the River Niger to Kogi or Niger State, that would be a waste of time. All you need to do is dredge the River for barges and tug-boat. The Oceanliner offloads the containers on to the barges, the tug-boat takes the barge up to the River port. One large barge can take hundreds of containers 1 Like |
