Alfa Turns Christian: How Muslim Neighbor Embraced Christ And Changed His Name

This is an update to a story I've shared here severally, also briefly in the post I made in response to that of the former winners' pastor who turned babalawo.

It had to do with a neighbor of mine who had suffered many things in the hands of the wicked, but still rejected the enticing offer she'd received from the occultic to replace her once occultic dad, although he had repented and renounced his membership before his death.

She was a Christian herself but was married to a Muslim, as a result, all of her children bear muslim names.

Therefore, it's her Muslim husband in question that now fully embraced Christ. But i didn't even know he used to be an alfa until she told me a few days ago while testifying about the great things God had done for her. She even told me that he's now changed his name to a Christian name to further confirm his decision.

She said after the news reached his home people, they were really concerned and reached him to express their disapproval about his decision, but he told them that he made that decision because it was what had worked for him.

Now this was someone that had seen his wife suffer severely many things and escape death by the whiskers on several occasions.

His wife said he wept bitterly after her delivery of one of his children, when he saw that his wife's spirit had almost left her body while yet lying on the hospital bed, as death seemed inevitable, but he was just there looking helplessly as he couldn't do anything to save her.

Therefore he had been through the worst with his wife, but he came to the conclusion after weighing all things, that it's Christ that had proven Himself and worked for him despite being an alfa.

Hence his decision to fully become a Christian and to change his name to a christian name.

When his wife revealed these things to me, i couldn't help but rejoice with her, knowing where she came from to get to this point.

I could remember how after she had decided to take God and her spiritual life seriously upon my urging, and had even gotten the courage to begin preaching the Gospel of Christ and calling people to repentance as God had commanded her to do, how she lamented and complained bitterly then about her husband.

She said she doesn't think it was possible for her to successfully do the work while being married to her husband because her marriage was proving to be a big hiderance.

It really bothered her for while, but I kept encouraging her and told her that since such things were beyond her control and power, she shouldn't worry too much about them, but place them in God's hand who is able to solve them and ask Him to help her.

Also, I told her that, for God to give her that assignment despite knowing about her husband and marriage means He knows she could be able to do it regardless. So she should instead worry about the assignment God gave to her and ensure that nothing, not even her marriage or husband stops her from accomplishing it no matter what. That if she took care of God's, God would take care of hers.

I even cited some examples to her, as that of Smith Wigglesworth's wife who put Christ first before her marriage and husband, and despite suffering some persecution as a result from her husband at some point, at the end, the same husband who later repented and went on to accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God that made him to be seen by many as a 'God's general', was eternally indebted and grateful to her for that. He loved and respected her more than he'd ever done prior to that, so i wouldn't be surprised if God also touches the heart of her own husband and make him become likewise and supportive to her.

Also when I later saw her husband, I told him what God told me about his wife, that she was chosen of Him, so he should try and be patient with her. That seemed to resonate with the husband as he agreed to it without much ado.

In the meantime though, I was also putting her marriage into prayers, however when i started seeing a glaring difference in her mood about her marriage shortly afterwards and she started telling me days later about how the same husband was her backbone and so on, I was amazed because i didn't expect it to be so sudden.

So from making things difficult and being a thorn in her spiritual life, that she wondered how she would be able to carry out the assignment God gave her while still being married to him that she even contemplated quitting her marriage; to when he was now her "backbone" and would be calling her when she didn't know his whereabouts and would tell her he's calling her from a church building of all places to her surprise, and would be joining her for prayers including midnight prayers; to the point now when he would change his name to a Christian name to prove that he now fully belongs to Christ just in case there were any doubts left.

It's profoundly stunning to see how God turned the situation around for my neighbor, and the great things He's doing and is still doing in my neighbor's life.

I am so grateful to God and to Him be all the glory! In Jesus name!

I know it's still quite early days though, and there's still a long way to go, but I believe and pray that God who has been with her and seen through to this point is more than able to and will finish the good work He's doing in her life and in that of her husband.

So yes, it's possible for the Alfas, Babalawos, atheists, and even Satanists to come to Christ as has been proven severally both here in this forum and elsewhere, so even if you fall into this category, it doesn't matter what you've done or how far you've gone wandered away from your Maker.

As long as you're still alive you can still make a U-turn and come back to your Maker because God is not willing for anyone to perish but that all come to repentance.

Don't wait though until it's too late to make amends because anything can happen at any moment.

Come to Jesus while you still have the time to.

And how did you come to the conclusion that he was a fake Muslim in the first place?
