This government like to suffer Nigerians sha. We struggle for virtually everything in Nigeria. I still maintain there is an agenda beyond what we can see. It started unveiling itself when I heard they took the money to Sambissa forest to exchange. Why not let the banks do their job? Or when they start their planned killings, we won't have money to escape? God will deliver us from these wicked and unreasonable leaders in the mighty name of Jesus. |

adioolayi:Which pressure? The one he is part of or even created. How can a new note be launched since last year with a close timeline yet until this week all the banks are still paying with old notes. Who then is to face out the old notes. Britain has a new note with a timeline till 2024 for the old ones. Once old ones get into the bank, it doesn't come out. |

Prophet85: No be only chaos The instructions is simple Deposit the old notes in your account After the deadline the notes will be readily available And btw it's not total It's just 1000 500 and 200 You can still be using the 100 and below for everyday petty transactions I'm happy that the CBN is staying resolute. Nigerians must comply |

For now, e-naira is the best cashless form of transaction for petty business. No bank charge no matter the amount of transaction in a day. No ATM charges. Fast transaction process. You can customize the amount you want to receive. Easy to use and navigate. Easy to deposit the money to your bank account. You can pay your bus fare of as low as N1 without charges or buy your N10 pepper without charges unlike in using bank app. No looking for change. Having an account with CBN. Can be use to pay bus fare easily. Instant payment verification. Use of bar code to facilitate payment. and more benefits I did not list. |

IMASTEX:Mr man there are many f ools in this forum that sometimes even replying to their posts makes one very angry. Someone supporting an incompetent and corrupt CBN governor that has come up with another nonsensical policy his limited brain didn't think through. What you just said is the simple, commonsense way to implement this naira policy, which is what every government with CBN governor with a commonsense would do:give a reasonable deadline, which in my opinion should be at least a year. Then, which is the most important part of the steps to ensuring the policy works:any old note that goes to the bank is never recirculated, then ensure the banks have new cash to meet up with 80% of estimated cash demand for each day. If the non circulation of old notes and good percentage of new cash demand need is met,I bet you, before 6months of a year deadline, there would be just a few customers that would still have the old notes in their possession. |

tuoyoojo: Your name is "Born-to-sufer". Ordinary people can't even see any notes to withdraw from ATMs because CBN said that banks shouldn't stock ATM with old notes and banks don't have sufficient new notes to stock. My wife went round yesterday but no ATM was dispensing. I went out this morning and saw masses sitting down at the foot of ATM and looking lost. Those political criminals have the new notes already. Lol |

Akwamkpuruamu: Most Nigerians are either PDP or APC, either as a party member or family of a party member. If there is no money to be given to electorates on the day of election, that still won't get votes for Mr Pandora. APC and PDP are still the ones that will battle it out between themselves. Ordinary Nigerians are still at the receiving end of all the bad policies |
