Rather than attribute beauty to our naira notes, why don't we consider value comparison of our darling naira with that of other African countries' currencies. 1 Like |

it seems Nigeria has the ugliest and cheap looking currency note. our former naira notes of the 70/80's are finer than these current ones. 4 Likes |

As for me, the notes look good. We're just used to the old ones. By the time we've used these new notes for a while, we'll get used to them. The only thing there is that the notes should have good value. 6 Likes |

Olachase: I guess the cost of printing a N200 would be about N200 if not more. The value is already lost even from mint! Nigerians should buy in to the cashless economy. |

I haven't seen this new naira notes, but I like that old 200 note, especially if its mint. I haven't touched most of the African currency, but my favorite is the Franc Cefa, its very portable and easy to carry. The Ghana Cedis, I like the 100cedis, others are paper as the naira |

But our N5, N10, N20 and N50 make sense even N100 . Why can't CBN print more of these lower notes let it circulate and leave this higher denominations. When you have more lower denominations in circulation, nobody will have more than 10k at hand because it will be very bulky. By so doing nobody will mandate any person to go cashless, doing transfers knowing the implications of carrying bulky lower denominations. A market women who sells pepper in the market will also benefit because one can only have cash that will be able to meet his daily needs. 5 Likes |

Ours look like the one that is poorly make. No sharpness in the latest currency atal. I like the Ethiopia currency, look very simple. Sao tome and Rwandan currencies looks cool and simple too. Just simple design, no picture of anybody. |
