Ok, for it to be possible you need to be using the same bank. For example if the person banks with First bank in Nigeria and you are able to locate a first bank in the states simply pay into the persons account and it will reflect immediately like a local transaction. I suggest you look for a bank that operates in the states and have the person in Nigeria open an account with their branch at home. I don't think there are any additional costs. For possible banks check Union Bank, First Bank of Nigeria Plc, United Bank for Africa, Zenith Bank.

The other way is to do a domiciliary transfer, its harder since the person in Nigeria needs to open a dollar account, there are charges and the money could take up to 2 weeks to reflect depending on the bank.
