There is nothing wrong with a school sending a child home for bringing Peter Obi campaign materials to school. It is not tribalism by Yorubas or APC, as Obidients are painting it. Her parents are irresponsible. Schools worldwide are meant to be neutral in politics.

Children need to be protected in the current heated political environment.

If every child is able to bring articles or materials wrapped in political colours to school, this will introduce new levels of competition and in no time, they will start bullying and attacking one another on the basis of which party they support or don't support.

Before long, students will start coming to school with 'Vote APC' water bottle, 'Vote Labour' lunch box, 'Vote PDP' sweater. Parents too will get involved and start attacking each other within school premises. Where will it all end

We need to keep these things out of schools and give these children time to grow up in peace.
