He goes for technicalities more often than not.
Re: Meet Wole Olanipekun; Tinubu's Lead Counsel At The Presidential Tribunal by wayodude(m): 1:23pm On Mar 22, 2023
The reason AIT couldn't progress in the courts was they were making conclusions that a Nigerian court was yet to make.

To say jagaban is a drug lord on national TV is defamation if that claim hasn't been through the courts. It does not mean that Jagaban is not highly likely to be found guilty of that charge if it did go do to court.

The merits of drug case has so far never been heard and discharged in court. The only time is was sent to court the case was dead on arrival due to technicalities (the immunity of the respondent due to being sitting governor).

Now we will know how good Olanipekun is. Can he make facts disappear? We will soon find out.

The man must be rolling on the floor in his chamber right now. Laughing so hard at the med!ocre petition filed by Labour party.

If you know wole Olanipekun so well, you will know the court will be done within hours barring any ceremonial adjournment just to make the sitting look atleast a little bit solid.

Chief Olanipekun, SAN, OFR, CFR that made A!T of partisan Raymond Dopkes! ' crawled on the floor and begged for their life' claiming it was the 'dev!L's work' when Tinubu through Wole Olanipekun slammed a 150Billion naira lawsuit against them for defamation in 2016 on this same 'druglord propaganda'.

When was the last time you saw A!T, a pro-PDP media house ran any anti-Tinubu campaign on their station during this electioneering period? They were quiet all through the campaign period, unlike before; Olanipekun put them in their place.

I wont be surprise if after this case is done and dusted, Tinubu will also drag Labour party to court for CHARACTER ASSASINATION & DEFAMATION . ( Dem go slam 300billion lawsuit against Labour party, and you obidients will just wail and cry about it for nothing. And i hope you dont cry: 'government suppression & oppression' then.)

Ar!seTV too should be prepared, let the dust settle first. E go reach everybody, dem go learn by force.

I can only reply on one point, YOU CANNOT ASSASSINATE A CHARACTER THAT DOESNT EXIST

Which legal technicalities are you talking about?

sorry for quoting you,
but in response to the question...
Olanipekun is good at picking needles in a haystack.
in the case of John okpa vs Donald Duke 2003 (election tribunal), after the much presented facts Okpa's SAN presented, Olanipekun just came up with the mad theory that the evidences showed crimes committed by Donald Duke and his client is named Donald Etim Duke and those two are not the same person. He presented the birth certificate of the governor to the bench to buttress his point and guess what... the court upheld his submission and Don's electoral victory was upheld.

sorry for the long epistle

Just look at the beautiful citation you have provided detailing the SAN's impressive resume. All of it is verifiable. But can that be said of Tinubu about his integrity, age, primary education, name, e.t.c?

Unarguably, Wole Olanipekun is one of the brightest SANs in Nigeria and one of the richest as well - thanks to his ability to win cases for the political class.

Well, it will be interesting to see how he will defend the sham election that threw victory in the laps of Druggie as well as prove Druggie's eligibility after working as the chief finance officer for Chicago drug cartels. cheesy

Did you see what was filed? The biggest case here is about how credible was BAT contesting.? And the other issue is paper-weight. By history, this is about the less-violent election. I don't know how long you have been participating or following election processes in Nigeria, but i can tell you categorically, this is the best. 1999, we lost 100 lives, 2003, 200 lives, 2007 - 300, 2011 - 800, 2015 - 150. We have barely lost 20 only.

You are right in your submissions. But fact is that the only weighty prayer there is that of the shettima. Wouldn’t want Bayelsa to be in play.

Others are not as strong as people think they are. The drug case is not going to hold Tinubu wasn’t convicted. Even if he was convicted, he had since become a senator and a governor after then. Court go on records and histories.

Obi equally said the election should cancelled. Also said they should declare him a winner in the same paragraph. It will be thrown out. But like you said, we should all wait and see. I consider this prayers as that of someone who had boasted too much and upon seeing documents got confused and went ahead to file something else in order not to appear as a jester due to his long time boasting. “ I won’ the best election and I’m going to prove it” -Obi.
Peter Obi only dodged the traps APC set for him. They were banking on him to use the rigging, irev, and other similar stuffs as his main points or prayers. That's why they intentionally refused to give him access to the election materials, and they also went ahead to reconfigure the devices so that they can use as alibi for lose of data and all. These intentional actions will have helped to give APC victory easily. Obi would not have had enough evidence to nail APC since the inec is collaborating with APC. INEC would have played as witnesses for APC.
But now, INEC is equally standing trial alongside the APC.

When you start a sentence with "DID, " the next verb to follow should be in present tense and not past tense.

Will Wole Olanipekun go to court to rewrite the clearly defined constitution?

For you to pass WAEC, you must pass 5 subjects, and English language.

For you to win Presidential Election, you must have 25% in 24 states, and FCT.

They say that FCT is a state, is English not a subject??

If you get 8 A's in WAEC and fail English, you failed.

English language is to WAEC what FCT is to Presidential Election, una go dey alright Las Las grin

The key phrase, "And the FCT"

If FCT is a state, why would they have to add the conjunction, and?

They gave it an exclusivity, hence the AND

The way Wole Olanipekun will rubbish Peter Obi and his ipob lawyers enh!!!! Hopefully, we shall all be here to laugh at them once again when judgement is delivered.

You don't even know what's up. This petition from PO has Tinubu on the ropes because if it is established that indeed he paid 460k USD on a plea bargain which means he was indicted actually, then based on Nigeria's law and the electoral act he is unfit and that count has disqualified him.

The second is against INEC, they contravened the law in theirr electoral act where it is stated that results must have been collated and transmitted before the winner is announced, but we have a case whereby the information was still uploaded on iRev when the winner was announced . This is INEC contradicting itself. now back to the server data which is virtual and hosted by AWS now INEC cannot even establish based on the logs that there was a system issues that enabled them go against their wish which was to initally download the results using the bvas.

Bros Tinubu is on the ropes for this one. Wale is even boxed in and what he will do which i anticipate is that he will petition the not to admit the video where INEC chairman himself stated that BVAS will be used to upload the election results, this alone is what PO's lawyers want him to do which is when they will not focus on Tinubu's eligibility to contest based on the drug history.

Do you know what it was for? Fact is the court never found him guilty of anything. So focusing on 460k is irrelevant. Even if you did something and a court investigated you but did not charge you, no case anywhere in the world. After the court case, it’s just beer parlour gist. Court does not work with assumptions, gossip and emotions. No court will retry someone who has already been tried and set free. Obi is just deceiving you all.

Because there are no evidence of rigging or malpractice anywhere. So in a bid to keep the struggle going. They had to rope in an already dismissed charges. These charges have been taken to court already different times and all ended up been cleared and dismissed by the judge with the latest one coming from justice Inyang of Federal high court, i think, just 2months ago, PDP filed that suit. I remember so well.

These are not even normal electoral crime or malpractice that occurred, these are charges that has nothing to do with the main voting and declaration of result.

And to answer your question plainly, no lawyer in this world will ever reject a court case. They will never tell Obi he has got no chance. How lawyers go take chop?

Bro you are not smart at all. Let me tell you the case Tinubu had with the plea bargain cannot be dismissed, because this challenges his eligibility based on the electoral act. meaning he has a criminal record.
